My town was made of mirrors
No one liked the reflection
No one dared to look beyond them
My country was a war zone
We tried to lose our own shadows
One, we are one
That’s what we heard
The blind, the deaf, the numb
So strong the blindness
We stopped thinking
Our very core just one nice big fluff
Packet of same feelings and same faith
My town was heartless
People hating themselves so much
They had obligation of spreading it out
The town I always wanted
Was made of changing colors
Material bent as it went
It had windows that let air in
The curtains that opened and shut as it pleased
That town loved the shadows
It spread the charm and not let wallow
